Spouse/Partner Enrollment
About the Spouse/Partner Program
The Police Stress and Health Program is seeking the spouses and partners of police trainees to participate in a research study of the effects of stress on new police officers and their families over time.
This study, which is part of a larger study of new police officers and stress, will help us gain an understanding of the problems and difficulties faced by families of police officers. Spouse/partner participants will be asked to complete questionnaires at regular intervals over the course of several years.
Who May Participate
If you are a police trainee who has just enrolled in the Police Stress and Health Program research, your spouse or domestic partner may qualify to participate in our study.
In order to qualify, spouses and/or partners must live at the same address as the participant, and must have cohabitated with the participant for a minimum of three months. Spouses and partners who do not live with police participants may not participate in the study.
