Psychophysiology

Participants of the Police Stress and Health Program are asked to complete Psychophysiology Testing at the beginning and baseline, two-year, and 5-year timepoints of the study. For the second phase of the study, the Psychophysiology Appointment will be approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

During Psychophysiology, the research assistant will measure the participant's:

  • Heart rate
  • Respiration
  • Sweat gland activity
  • Eye blink activity

while the participant listens to sounds through headphones.
